Jenny Woods and Drew Wilson are travelling across America; they are going to take photographs. It's not a complicated idea. They are raising funds to make it happen - you should help them.

On a personal note; I'm backing this project because I feel deeply indebted to artists like this. Not only because their work forms the backbone of this site but because their work is a window into another life; I live vicariously through their eyes. I'm never going to travel across America but I sure as hell want to see these two do it; they have a beautiful aesthetic.

Promoted Work: Joanna Szproch @ Alter Angle Exhibition

Joanna Szproch is part of Alter Angle Exhibition Summer 2014 for Berlin Fashion Week. If you are part of the fashion scene in Berlin then you should definitely check out this show. If you are into photography then you should go and support Joanna Szproch who is a fantastic photographer in her own right.

The show opens tonight and runs until the 19th.

Promoted Work: NEWDS by Sal Nunkachov

NEWDS by Sal Nunkachov is my kind of publication; there is something raw and essential about it. I have nothing but respect for the almost complete stripping of artifice; this is an artist doing what it takes to get his work out there. I think it's fucking cool.

Issues can be bought by sending Sal a message on his page. There are seven issues so far; NEWDS #1 is sold out but the rest are available..

Promoted Work: Raw Beauties

I'm sorry to have missed the opening of this show but it's still got a few days left to run so it's not too late.

This is a collaboration between Gallery Raw Beauty and Wanrooij Gallery in the Netherlands. It is a collection of provocative polaroid works by 66 photographers from all over the world. Han Boersma has curated some incredible shows by artists like Alvin BoothArthur Meehan and Hugo Keizer; he is one of the few gallerists that consistently pushes this kind of work.

There is a book of the Exhibition that will be available online soon; I'll put up a link as soon as I get it.
